Recently, Yang Chuantang, Secretary of the Party Group of the Ministry of Transport, and Li Xiaopeng, Minister of Transportation and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group published a signed article in Qiushi magazine, "We must focus on using information technology to promote the intelligent transformation of the transportation industry and promote the upgrade of intelligent transportation services. , Optimizing traffic operation and management control, improving intelligent decision support and supervision, and improving the level of intelligence in transportation development. "The rapid development of mining and sharing technology for shipping big data has brought about the upgrading and transformation of information service platforms, which has triggered the shipping industry. The revolution in service models and profit methods has enabled the leaping development of the maritime industry operating system. The use of big data service platforms to improve the quality and efficiency of shipping services is a new impetus for the rapid development of the shipping industry.

1. "Internet +" is promising

In the second half of 2015, the State Council successively issued "Several Opinions on Using Big Data to Strengthen Services and Supervision of Market Subjects" and "Action Outline for Promoting the Development of Big Data". Its purpose is to vigorously promote the development of big data technology in China. Strategic resources are given sufficient attention while being shared. The big data strategy has risen to the national strategy. For a time, big data has surged in various industries, and even the traditional shipping industry has joined this vast and innovative team.

In August this year, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Transport jointly issued the “Internet +” Convenient Transportation Implementation Plan for Smart Transportation Development. This is the first time the country has issued an overall framework and implementation plan for smart transportation. Its purpose is to promote The deep integration of transportation and the Internet will promote the intelligent development of transportation and provide strong support for the modernization of China's transportation development.

Xu Kai, Director of the Informationization Laboratory of Shanghai International Maritime Research Center and Director of the Big Data Laboratory of Port and Shipping, once gave this definition in the book "Shipment Information Platform in the Era of Big Data": Maritime big data refers to maritime business, management, Massive data generated in the fields of supervision, etc., as well as related technologies and solutions for effective fusion, storage, processing, query, and analysis around this data scale. It can solve three major problems: real-time data calculation, historical data analysis, and future data prediction.

So what can ocean big data do? The marine analyst explained to the reporter: Based on a large number of data such as ship types, routes, and schedules, the real-time trend of global commodities can be analyzed to understand the cargo types and hoarding conditions of major ports in the world. For example, through real-time monitoring of global soybean shipping ships, if it is discovered that the soybeans that South America is about to import are under pressure to reach China on time, it can be inferred that domestic soybean prices may rise in the first place. "Using the big data of maritime transportation, we can infer the activities of ships, the flow of goods and the operations of ports, which can have an important influence on futures investment decisions."

In recent years, various port cities are also trying to build regional shipping centers, aiming to seize core data in the blue ocean economy and obtain the right to speak. It can be said that whoever controls and makes good use of "big data" will first break through the fog of maritime transportation and lead the future of the industry. The application of big data in the maritime industry will far exceed our imagination, and it will set off with the transformation of shipping e-commerce in the room just around the corner.

2. Test water "Big Ocean Data"

Under the current obstacles to the development of the maritime industry, in the face of alliance competition in the maritime industry, some maritime companies have begun to explore boldly, actively seek change, innovate constantly, adapt to the new normal, and seize the information age and big data This opportunity during the transition of the times, constantly improve self-mechanism, and strive to meet the challenge.

Earlier, due to the concept of building an international shipping center, the shipping volume of Guangzhou Port ’s Nansha Port area increased sharply. In order to cope with the increasing transaction volume and the development of the era of big data, the first container freight e-commerce platform was officially launched in the third phase of Nansha Port District of Guangzhou Port. It is precisely because of this innovative decision that Guangzhou Port has achieved great success based on the original freight volume. In the specific implementation process, through the analysis and mining of the data in the entire container transportation process, find out which are the key factors restricting the efficiency improvement and make targeted improvements, so as to achieve the purpose of efficient transportation.

On June 14, 2017, Russia ’s largest container operator, Russia Maritime Transport Container Public Joint Stock Company, officially signed a contract with China Alibaba Group called Group Customer Logistics Services. The signing of the contract will enable millions of Alibaba logistics platform customers across China to receive more professional and comprehensive services, which is undoubtedly a beneficial decision for both parties. On the one hand, through the signing of this contract, the Russian Transport Container Public Joint Stock Company can integrate into the modern e-commerce network and use this huge advantage of China to expand consumer groups; on the other hand, Alibaba can also use the Russian Transport Container Public Joint Stock Company in transportation services. To further improve its own transportation efficiency and speed up its operation.

Since November 22, 2017, China's domestic sea and sea vessels will no longer apply for a "visa" for entering and leaving the port, and the entry and exit of ships will be more convenient and the turnover efficiency will be further improved.
